Global Scholar Resources Monitoring & Mentoring

The RO, ARO and the officers of Global Scholar Resources will monitor the exchange visitor program teachers continuously. GSR will monitor the teachers in-person, virtual, and/or by phone calls, emails, almost on a daily basis. For monitoring, GSR has an organizational structure to monitor the teachers in administering the J-1 Teacher program successfully.

The RO/Program Manager will monitor and help the new teachers in settling in their houses and schools. The RO/Program Manager will gather and record the information about the current physical residence address in the USA, their phone numbers, email addresses of both the participating teacher and whose dependents (if any). Our RO will report to the US DoS via SEVIS within 10 days, about any changes in the physical residence address in the USA. The program participating teachers must inform our office about any change in their home address, phone number and any other personal and school related matters which will be communicated to the Department of State via SEVIS, within 10 days from the date of occurrence of any change.

GSR will monitor and help the teachers and their dependents, in the matter of their Healthcare Insurance (program mandated) and the Medical Insurance offered by the host schools.

GSR will also monitor the status of every teacher’s, state issued Teaching Certification. All teachers are advised to contact the GSR office to get the teaching certification of whichever state in the USA in which the teacher is teaching.

The Compliance Supervisor of GSR will monitor whether the teachers are following the compliances or not. According to the program compliance, every teacher and his/her dependents must have, the program mandated, healthcare insurance. Teachers should always abide by the compliance of the program and the terms and conditions of Global Scholar Resources.

The Cross-Cultural Activities Supervisor of GSR will monitor and help the teachers in fulfilling the program compliance of completing at least two cross-cultural activities, in two categories, each year and will gather the activity reports from the teachers and in turn, GSR will report it to the US DoS via SEVIS within the due date.

The Crisis Management Officer of GSR will monitor the teachers in the area of emergency medical and other needs, disputes or issues raised in and out of the host school. The Crisis Management Officer will attend any Serious Problem or Controversy arises and for any change of circumstance of an exchange visitor.
