Form DS-2019 includes program details like start and end dates, category of exchange, and placement address(es), along with designated sponsor information. Global Scholar Resources, Inc. generates the DS-2019 through the U.S. government’s Student and Exchange Visitor Information
System (“SEVIS”).Global Scholar Resources-sponsored teachers will use the DS-2019 to make an appointment for the J-1 visa at their nearest U.S. embassy or consulate in his or her home country. There, participants will be subject to an interview with a U.S. consular officer who will determine whether the J-1 visa may be approved and issued.
